Alina Nevins collaborates with Yale Faculty on the design and execution of academic technology components and projects for teaching and learning purposes. Within the Instructional Technology Group, she specializes in web development.
Alina was previously an Academic Technologist for 3 years. Before that she was a Support Specialist for Faculty in the Arts & Sciences, also at Yale University. She graduated from Yale with a B.A. in Anthropology in 2008. Alina is also a co-chair and founder of a young professionals affinity group, Future Leaders of Yale.
Alina works in the CTL because she believes that technology can be a very powerful tool to enhance on-campus learning. She works on the incorporation and integration of a diverse set of digital media technologies on multiple platforms in order to contribute to this vision. Her interests include the spatial representation of humanities and other non-traditional types of data architecture, the integration of gaming components in learning, and the use of physical computing to enhance the learning process.
