Applying to PhD programs after your current program concludes? A crucial component of your application will be your statement of purpose. This workshop will present guidelines and provide real examples to analyze and discuss. Topics covered will include: determining your fit with particular departments or programs, narrating your intellectual autobiography through your statement, and describing your proposed research interests. Intended audience: primarily geared for masters students in the humanities and social sciences, but anyone working on a PhD application is welcome to attend!
