Strategies for Effective Peer Review

Event Description

Be a solid voice in directing the conversations in your field! From giving feedback to a lab mate to reviewing a manuscript for a journal, participating in the peer review process is an integral part of academic life. However, it can be challenging to provide critical and constructive feedback and to summarize that feedback appropriately. In this interactive workshop, we will cover the different types of reviews that are right for the specific context and need. Most importantly, we will practice giving helpful peer review comments.

Intended audience: graduate students and postdocs in the Sciences
