Event Description 

Writing persuasively is a critical skill, whether you are drafting an appellate court brief or writing for an academic journal. In this applied workshop, you will learn how to: structure an argument; utilize persuasive writing techniques, including strategic use of the passive voice and proper placement of favorable and unfavorable facts and law; and rebut opposing arguments. Come prepared to engage in activities applying the skills and techniques we discuss. Learn how to convince your audience that you’ve got the winning argument!
