The Poorvu Center aims to improve the learning experience of all students at Yale by working with undergraduates, graduate and professional school students, postdocs, and faculty. To better assess impact and to help drive decisions on future programs and initiatives, the Poorvu Center is forming a volunteer student advisory council. This group will:
- Provide feedback and share new ideas about specific teaching and learning topics during four in-person meetings per academic year
- Communicate with Poorvu Center staff via email once per month about teaching and learning programs
- Impact the learning experience at Yale for fellow students by sharing personal experiences from the classroom and other learning environments
- Serve as a representative of the Poorvu Center within the residential college community
In-person meetings will take place over dinner and will cover a new topic each time. Diverse viewpoints and backgrounds will produce useful and out-of-the-box suggestions for the Poorvu Center to try out.
If you have any questions, please contact Patrick O’Brien, Communications Officer, or Sara Epperson, Director of Digital Education.
