Yale Center for Teaching and Learning

Personal Digital Asset Management

The Instructional Technology Group of the Center for Teaching and Learning provides support for organizing, cataloging, accessing, and publishing individuals’ digital assets, such as images, audio, video, and other files (e.g. PDFs or design files), for teaching and learning purposes. This service also facilitates significant, though not unlimited, opportunity for work with assets’ metadata. For university-level or -owned digital assets, please contact the Office of Public Affairs and Communications or the Yale Broadcast Center.

Benefits

Moderate learning curve, scalable from 5 items to 500,000, accessible from any modern web browser and mid-range computing power, efficient search, wide range of acceptable formats, flexible metadata, easy creation of multiple asset groupings whether isolated or intersecting, controls for restricting access.
