Join us for Teaching at Yale Day, an event to orient graduate students, professional students, and postdoctoral instructors who are new to teaching at Yale. 

Attendees will:

  • Become better prepared for the first day of section, class, or lab

  • Learn about important policies and guidelines for teaching in Yale College

  • Gain insight into the student and faculty perspectives on graduate teaching and the role of the teaching fellow

  • Be introduced to many teaching resources available at the Center for Teaching and Learning

This event is required for all first-time Teaching Fellows and Part-time Acting Instructors.

Date: Monday, August 28, 2017
Time: Humanities and Social Sciences – 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (lunch is provided)
Science, Engineering, and Math – 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (dinner is provided)

Location: Loria Center (190 York St.)

Students who are unable to attend Fall Teaching at Yale Day may attend a Fundamentals of Teaching workshop series. 

Eligibility 

This event is required for all first-time Teaching Fellows and Part-time Acting Instructors. Yale graduate students, professional students, and postdocs are welcome to attend, but registration is limited.
