Join us for Teaching at Yale Day, an event to orient first-time graduate student, professional student, and postdoctoral instructors to the culture of teaching at Yale.

Attendees will:

  • Become better prepared for the first day of section, class, or lab

  • Learn about important policies and guidelines for teaching in Yale College

  • Gain insight into the student and faculty perspectives on graduate teaching and the role of the teaching fellow

  • Be introduced to many teaching resources available at the Center for Teaching and Learning

This event is required for all first-time Teaching Fellows and Part-time Acting Instructors.

Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with optional 8:00- 9:00 PM consultation session
Location: Luce Hall (34 Hillhouse Avenue)

Pizza dinner will be included

Students who are unable to attend Spring Teaching at Yale Day may attend a Fundamentals of Teaching workshop series

Eligibility 

This event is required for all first-time Teaching Fellows and Part-time Acting Instructors. Yale graduate students, professional students, and postdocs are welcome to attend, but registration is limited.
