Fundamentals of Teaching

Open to anyone, though mostly focused on graduate students acting as first time Teaching Fellows. This Fundamentals of Teaching workshop series is designed for Teaching Fellows from any discipline.

What to Expect

First-time teaching fellow? Bit off more than you could chew, or missed the boat on the other Fundamentals courses? Fear not, as this fully inclusive Fundamentals of Teaching workshop is designed for people of all disciplines, and encompasses multiple teaching resources: Bloom’s taxonomy, grading strategies, active learning, soliciting feedback, etc. Participants will walk away with a concrete list of resources and teaching strategies you can employ in your own classroom. Join us Thursday evenings for this four-part Fundamentals series (snacks included!), running from October 27th through November 17th, 6 - 7:30 pm in HGS. Participating in at least three of the four sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP).
