What to Expect

Join us for a discussion-based Fundamentals workshop where we will explore current controversies in higher education pedagogy, with emphasis on preparation for the job market. Each session will engage primary and secondary sources on a different topic, including lecturing vs. active learning; technology vs. traditional teaching; inclusivity, diversity, and bias. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your teaching and prepare informed answers to job market questions. Post-docs and graduate students who have previously attended another Fundamentals series are highly encouraged to attend. Participating in at least three of the four sessions is required for the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP).
