Toward Inclusive Excellence: Increasing PhD Attainment in the Physical Sciences for Women, Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities:
We present evidence-based strategies for increasing PhD attainment in the physical sciences for historically underrepresented individuals – women, minorities, and persons with disabilities. Key topics include holistic approaches to graduate admissions, partnerships with minority-serving institutions, and wrap-around mentoring. We will also provide tools that we have developed to help facilitate efficacious implementation of these approaches.
