Event Time

Wednesday, April 26, 2017 - 4:30pm to 5:45pm

Location

CTL 121
301 York St.
New Haven, CT

Event Description

Have you ever wanted to publish a non-academic piece or op-ed? Come join us for a Question and Answer session on how to write for public engagement. We will have a panel of faculty and graduate students with experience in writing for the public and will address questions such as ‘why are op-eds a unique form of publication?’ and ‘how does the process of writing for public engagement differ from writing for academics?’. Our panel will feature Dr. Allegra di Bonaventura, Dr. Nicholas Christakis, and Brian Earp, who have experience writing about their academic ideas for non-specialists in a variety of formats. Come with your own questions!
