Event Description

Dr. Tracie Addy, Yale Center for Teaching and Learning

Title: “Reflective Teaching: How we can Assess Instructional Practices and Learning the Process”

Abstract: Reflective teaching is important for the continual development of instructors. Instructors can reflect upon their teaching using the results of inventories, feedback from classroom observations, and other means. During this seminar, we will discuss tools being used to measure teaching practices in STEM education, as well as how they can encourage reflective instruction. In addition, research related to the teaching practices of STEM faculty as well as future faculty will be presented. This seminar will be of interest to instructors, future instructors as well as those who work with the aforementioned individuals.
