Make it our time: In class multitaskers have lower academic performance

Event Description

The STEM Education Journal Club provides the opportunity to discuss a relevant article in preparation for the upcoming seminar in the series. This journal club is facilitated by Lake Bookman.

Selected Article: “Make it our time: In class multitaskers have lower academic performance,” Saraswathi Bellur, Kristine L. Nowak and Kyle S. Hull.

As Lake writes, “In preparation for Margaret Rubega’s talk this week (which will discuss Twitter as a learning tool), I thought it would be good to pick an article that focused on how our students are interacting with social media and how it’s impacting their learning.” To be included in the head count for dinner, please register for the journal club.

The STEM Education Seminar & Journal Club Series is sponsored by the Helmsley Charitable Trust.
