Yale Center for Teaching and Learning

Classes*v2 is a locally hosted and managed instance of Sakai 2.8, a Learning Management System (or Course Management System) that provides the Yale community with a powerful, integrated set of web-based tools for teaching, learning, and sharing information.

Features include syllabus hosting, integration with Banner, project sites, Course Reserves integration, file sharing, video streaming, messaging and email or announcements, scheduling and sign-up, collecting assignments, grading, and more.

In Spring 2015, Yale began to explore Canvas as an alternative learning management system to Classes*v2.  For more information on Canvas, and this initiative, please visit our Canvas Pilot page, or go to http://canvas.yale.edu.
